Jim & Gene Fish and Camp
Timm July 28th, 2008
Jim and Gene fished in Jimmy Pond this weekend, and the fish weren’t biting much. It was very hot and sticky, the hottest we’ve had in a while. Just standing around it felt like you were wearing a fur parka over a wet suit while swimming laps in lava. But the two fishermen seemed to enjoy just being out in nature.

Jim Fishing in His New Raft

Jim tried out his new fishing raft, which was nice but sits too low for fly-fishing. I’m sure Jim will tell you all about his experience on his Perchbugs fishing blog.
Bigger Raft

Jim switched to our inflatable 4-person raft, which sits a bit higher in the water and has a little more room.
Still Fishing

We went hiking while the boys fished. When we returned, they were of course still fishing! Here we watch Jim from the overlook on Peanut Lane.
Gene Fishing in His Floating Chair

Gene is sitting in a floating fishing chair, his legs dangling below in the refreshingly cool water. He wears flippers to help propel himself around the pond.
Camping Out

Gene brought his nice new trailer to Little Wolf and got to “break it in” sleeping next to the pond. Here Gene and Jim enjoy some old 40s tunes while relaxing in the shade.
